February 25, 2010 - "Switching Globin Genes On and Off: Lessons from Thalassemia" is the title of a lecture to be given Tuesday, March 2 at 4:00 p.m. at the New York Blood Center. Douglas Roland Higgs, FRS, Professor of Molecular Haematology at the University of Oxford and Director of the MRC Molecular Haematology Unit at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine in Oxford will deliver the speech, which is the 32nd Annual Alexander S. Wiener Lecture.
